The MDU 2009 Professionalism in Medicine & Healthcare Workshop
Professionalism has become a buzzword in medical education and many postgraduate training programmes now feature a professionalism component but do you know what the term actually means and how it applies to you?
The MDU’s one-day workshop has been developed to help doctors and healthcare professionals identify and deal with a range of issues related to professionalism and good medical practice. The workshop has a practical focus and provides plenty of opportunity for discussion in both large and small groups. Areas covered include:
- Professional expectations and obligations
- Rewards and privileges of being a doctor
- Stress and time management
- Professional leadership
- Achieving a work-life balance
100% of doctors asked at the 2008 Professionalism Workshop said they would recommend it to their colleagues.
