The MDU 2012 Medical Ethics
and Law Workshops
Do you feel that medical ethics was a neglected area during your training? Are you preparing for a Royal College membership exam or an interview for a new post and want to broaden your knowledge? Perhaps you have recently arrived in the UK and feel unsure what the General Medical Council expects of doctors practising here.
Learn everything you need to know from the experts at an MDU Medical Ethics and Law Workshop.
Fully interactive in format, the workshop has been developed to help doctors apply ethical principles in their everyday patient care and effectively manage risks in their own practice or unit. Areas covered include:
- Principles of ethics and law
- Confidentiality
- Consent
- Risk management
- Medico-legal advice
Who will be speaking
The MDU Medical Ethics and Law Workshops will be run in association with Healthcare Performance Limited and led by qualified coach Dr Emma Sedgwick MBBS, BSc, MRCPsych, DCH, MBA, NLP Coach and Dr Mike Roddis BSc MB ChB MBA FRCPath. Dr Sedgwick and Dr Roddis will also be joined by a doctor from the MDU medico-legal advisory team.

All workshops run from 9am-5pm.
How much
- MDU members - £150
- Non MDU members - £195
Registration fees include an attendance certificate (approved for 5 CPD credits by the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK), course materials, lunch and refreshments.
