The MDU 2012 Interview Skills for Consultant Posts workshop
Consultant interviews are one of the most important stages in your career, everything you present to the interviewer is assessed and judged; from your CV or application form, performance during your interview and your ability to answer questions on the spot, it can be a nerve-wracking time that you may not feel equipped for.
The MDU Interview Skills for Consultant Posts workshop has been developed to prepare you for the selection and interview process and can provide you with the tools to help maximise your performance during the interview.
During the course you will undertake a filmed mock interview. Feedback will be given in small groups of 6 people to ensure you receive valuable, constructive advice. Areas covered include:
- How to put together a well prepared application form and tips on boosting your CV.
- Utilising pre-interview visits.
- Improving performance at an interview with techniques and methods.
- Understanding the legality of the interview process (participants on the Appointments Advisory Committee AAC).
- Advice on answering likely interview questions.
