Rewarding excellence
The DDU is looking for the UK's most outstanding dental trainers - and we want you to help us find them.
- Is your dental trainer committed, enthusiastic, challenging and innovative?
- Do they go the extra mile in challenging you?
- Do their lectures inspire and motivate you?
If so, nominate them for the DDU's Educational Awards.
Now in their seventh year, the DDU's Educational Awards recognise and reward excellence in three award categories.
Nomination categories and prizes
The three award categories are:
- Dentist Teacher of the Year
- Dental Care Professional (DCP) Teacher of the Year
- Vocational Teacher of the Year
Winners in each category will:
- Win £1000 towards the cost of educational materials for their dental school or VT scheme
Winners and finalists in each category will:
- Win a cheque for £250
- Receive a trophy and a certificate
Nominate and win
Nominations will be entered into a prize draw with a first prize of an iPod nano.
To nominate a trainer, all you need to do is rate them against a range of award criteria and provide a brief summary of why you think they should win. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 18 November 2009.
